Yes but don’t overdo it. Make sure to mix it up with HIIT and steady paced cardio. Run, bike, walk, swim, do stairs and elliptical. And lift weights!

I’m on a “contest prep diet” but it’s not as strict as most competitors. I am learning to find balance with dieting and being healthy. I don’t and I’ve never believed in depriving oneself of certain foods to achieve any goal. It’s not worth it. A few weeks ago and for the past 5-6 months, I was dieting hard with the exception of “cheat meals” once a week and training daily including cardio and up and until recently I sort of hit a plateau. A week ago, I cut out cardio and started enjoying some of my favorite foods in moderation such as tacos, cheeseburgers, french fries, and pizza and started seeing results again. Last night, I was craving sweets so I improvised my last meal which was a shake and almonds and made protein pancakes out of whey powder and egg whites and used nuts n more chocolate almond butter instead. It was so satisfying! I train intense and I love to eat and lift heavy, food is fuel. My average diet consists of eggs, oats, fish, vegetables, chicken, sweet potato, brown rice, almonds, and I use supplements like whey protein, bcaa’s, amino acids, multivitamins, pnv, and omega 3’s.
It’s been pretty hectic in these final weeks leading up to show date but I’m finally starting to get back into the competitor’s mindset and killing my workouts now that cardio is out of my training. I trained upper body yesterday and had the best shoulder and arm pump. It’s a great feeling when the guys at the gym come up to me and tell me I look great and train hard. I was completely in the zone when I noticed my shoulder veins popping! This was a huge moment for me lol and I was ready to capture it on camera but of course my phone died right before I could. I finished off with a cool down on the stairs just to work my glutes and legs and then sweated it out in the sauna. Still enjoying high carbs and getting creative with my meals. Today I can see all the veins in my chest, arms, and waist. Getting leaner and leaner every day and feeling excited. I don’t think it will really hit me until I’m boarding the plane to Vegas but I am ready and I am coming for you, World’s!
i think i have a crush. i saw him last night and again this morning. this is getting intense you guys..
